Bill Napier has been my home for all of my 59 years apart from a little travelling. My family has been here since 1867. My two sons and daughter were born here and still call Napier home.For the Daltons Napier will always be home.

Whilst my interests centre around my family, they also include Napier’s art deco heritage, music and theatre, motorsport, vintage cars and all sports. For over 30 years I have served on a wide variety of service and charitable committees and was appointed by the Napier City council to assist on the Municipal Theatre Redevelopment Committee.

I am the Patron of the Napier Performing Arts Society and have been a justice of the peace for the last 20 years.
For over 30 years I have worked in the Financial Services Industry, originally as an investment manager for a large finance company and then, for the last 29 years, as a partner in the largest Sharebroking and Investment Consultancy in Hawkes Bay.My philosophy has always been that local government has a responsibility to create an environment that allows and encourages private enterprise to prosper. It is not the role of local government to undertake entrepreneurial activities.Napier needs to remain affordable.
